Resolved Question: Cell Phones going off during performances? Rude?

I drove all of the way from Vancouver to Burien Washington to see Steve Smith (Red, From the Red Green Show). If you have never heard of him, the details are not important. Well the guy is doing the comedy show 100% for free for Public Television... He didn't make a cent. During the Performance, someones cell phone went off, after the audience had been warned multiple times not to let telephones ring. Red (or steve) kinda made a joke out of it, but still... rude! The guy is trying to do a comedy show and you think its honestly appropriate to be playing on your phone while everyone else is trying to listen? Give me a break! What are your thoughts on this?...
